Hello, everyone!

How was your weekend? I had pretty much works to do during this weekend. Crying or Very sad Since I'm a senior this year, I don't have much time for fun. But! I definitely believe that I'll have fun enough at the 'Teaching Spoken English Skills' class this semester. Wink

My name is Moonhee Kim, majoring in English linguistics and literature. you can also call me, Gloria. I do really want to speak in English fluently, but I sometimes hesitate to talk in English. I will try to get over this hardships, taking this class. I feel so lucky that I could join this class.

I was working on the lesson outline today. I guess the sample lesson outline that Dr. Renshaw uploaded was pretty helpful. But I still have a question about the outline. Do I need to make two units per 1 lesson ouline? Or, just a unit with one dialog is enough? I made one unit with the dialog that I made by myself.

Hope to hear from you soon.
And see you all tomorrow morning in the class!
Good night! Sleep

Best wishes,
Gloria Kim

Hi there Gloria,

I really enjoyed reading your post - thanks for sending it in.

Just to answer your question, you only need one unit and one basic dialogue. Don't be confused between units in our study program and units in Boost! Speaking or your own materials. Your lesson outline if for one focus of some kind, but it needs to incorporate the two units of study we did in class that week. Unit 1 was about making objectives for a speaking lesson, while Unit 2 was about the principle of 'noticing'. Those two principles from our in-class units should be featured in the one lesson outline.

I hope that helps. From what you wrote, it sounds like you've done it the right way - so good work!

See you in class,

~ Jason

I'll try to finish it tonight. and I'll send it to you right after I finish it.
Since the due date is Tuesday, I guess I have time for improving my first draft lesson outline.
thanks for your quick answer! It was a huge help.

See you tomorrow in the class!
