Chart 1 shows estimated number of people online worldwide since 1995. The estimated number increased from 1995 to 2002. Between 1995 and 1996, the number increased 3 times but in following year, it slightly raised 15millions compared to previous year. Surprisingly, in next year, the figure significantly changed 76 to 160 millions. Besides, it dramatically increased about 399 millions from 1999 to 2000. Since then, however, increasing rate has decreased even though the estimated number has risen until 2002.

Chart 2 shows internet users in the world 2003. More than half of parts in the graph occupied USA and Canada. In addition, Europe was composed with 24% of total and next biggest one was Asia/Pacific as 15% of total. In the rest of the portion, South America took 6% and Middle East and Africa got 1% equally.

Overall, the estimated number rose from 1995 to 2002. Especially, between 1999 and 2000, it completely increased to 451 millions. However, most of the people who used internet in the world 2003 were USA and Canada as 53% of total. On the other hand, Africa and Middle East accounted for 1% each.
